Disable the inner critic with a Positive Inventory

As 2011 winds down we are apt to think of all the things left unfulfilled, unaccomplished or unattained. Then the inner critic grabs hold and uses these things to berate, belittle or bewilder ourselves.

An effective way to disable the critic is to spend the last few days of 2011 and take a Positive Inventory of ourselves. Focus on the things fulfilled, accomplished and attained and use these things, however small they may seem, as building blocks for the New Year.

Then make the decision to continue to build upon those with firm conviction and commitment.
The right use of Self Power is ACTION.

Today I take a Positive Inventory of myself so that I may take Positive Action for Positive Change for the New Year!

Discover something New!

Get Jazzed & Joyful Thought:

Today is a great day to learn something New. Something about someone else that you didn't already know. Most times we are so busy focusing on our schedules, jobs, to do lists, etc. that we prevent ourselves from discovering new information about the people in our lives, including children. When this happens we stay on a superficial level and miss out on connecting on a more real and true level. Make a point today to ask discovery questions. It could be something as simple as what kind of car a co-worker drives, what's a favorite quote, movie, color, book or food they enjoy. What music do they listen to? Hobbies? Do you know the names of family members, pets? You may discover that you have more in common than you realized. You probably will discover some fun and wonderful facts that will surprise you.
So make today a discovery day.
