Designed and Decorated with love

My grandaughter Hailey and I had fun creating, painting and decorating 2 collage frames- one for her mom and one for her great grandfather for the holidays. I love Tulip brand Beads in a Bottle. They come in different colors and work well on picture frames, glass, paper crafts-pretty much any surface including fabric! They are easy to use and they give a 3D effect and harden like a brad or a bead. We got more creative with our frame design as we went along and I even tried it directly on the glass frame on the top left pic. The words For You Mom are in black beads in a bottle. When my grandsons saw these they asked how come they couldn't do one! So for Valentine's day they will be doing small picture frames for their mom- Can't wait to create with them!

Beautiful creation from Felicia!

My granddaughter Felicia came to my art studio yesterday and she created the most beautiful collage picture frame for her mom for Christmas! While I worked on cropping and printing the photos she selected, Felicia got inspired and creative with the supplies I put out for her use. And what an excellent job she did! I know her mom will be just thrilled with her gift and especially the fact that Felicia designed and created the entire thing!! Handmade gifts are always the best-especially when they come from the heart. Awesome job Felicia!!

Express your Gratitude and Thankfulness

Happy Friday!

There is all the media hype about Black Friday starting early. Why even last weekend the sales hype was already in full gear. So that made me think.
Why not start giving the gift of Gratitude and Thankfulness early too? Start saying Happy Holidays to everyone you meet. How about saying a simple "Thank You" to people who probably don't hear it a lot. Like the postal carrier, the sanitation workers, policemen, firemen, teachers, grocery store clerks, employees who go out and get the carts from the parking lot. You could even say "Thanks" to the customer who takes their cart back to the cart corral instead of leaving it in the parking lot.

There are so many ways to express gratitude, thankfulness and appreciation. This weekend why not challenge yourself and others to see how many different ways that you can find to extend the gift of Thankfulness to as many people as possible.
Then on Sunday evening or Monday compare notes over a cup of coffee to see how many creative ways everyone came up with to spread Gratitude and Thankfulness.

And see how wonderful it feels to make a difference in someone's life by making a big impact with small and simple feel good gestures.

Affirm:
This weekend I will focus on spreading Gratitude and Thankfulness as I prepare for the Holiday.

Positive Power Beads

Here are several new Positive Power beads that I made a few days ago. I am getting ready for a holiday show and am busy creating away! These beads are wonderful because you can use them as a bookmark in a book-I made large ones and smaller ones for different size books. Also I made one and hung it from my car mirror so I see it every time I drive and it reminds me of my positive focus. I also hung one from desk hutch off a small nail so I can see its' positive message while I work on my computer.

And then I found these wonderful spin racks so I can easily display all of the Power Beads! Looking forward to making more of these!

New Garden Rocks

Loving these new Garden Rocks I did! These are actual landscape rocks, @ 6-8 inches and @ 3-5lbs each. My hubby painted primer on them and then I painted a base color coat with outdoor paints .I used construction pencils to draw lightly the design and then I used again outdoor/patio paints and paint pens to color in the design and words.
My 9 yr old grandson Josh actually penciled the base cardinal and branch design on and then I fine tuned and added color, the word and added additional designs of flowers and leaves.
The Diva Power rock was with my 3 yr old granddaughter, Isabell in mind, she loves all things pink and she IS a DIVA!
These will be placed out in the yard along the river rock stream and by the pond. And since they are primered and done in outdoor paints they should withstand the seasons.

New Batch of Affirmation Rocks

I just love how these new rocks turned out. I get to be more creative every time I do a batch. Since it is the holiday season, I did several snowmen that turned out excellent on very small rocks. I did a couple with outdoor trees and even repainted over a couple that I did not like. It takes a long time however it is well worth it when I see the finished results!

Cheer Yourself On Vision Board

I pieced together and laid out what I wanted on my cheer Yourself On Board and then took a picture of it. Then I can remove any or all of the pieces and not worry about forgetting where everything goes.

Then I printed the picture in black and white in large size and put it next to my Vision Board so I could refer to it as I continued to create.

Then I started painting my flowers on my board. This is where I am at right now after letting it dry last night. Today I will add more flowers and add the flower details and see how I like it. I can already tell I may change my board layout as I am getting new ideas as I paint!

Will post some more later - I can't wait to see how it turns out!
