Welcome to my blog! My name is Mary Ellen Pierce and I want to invite you to Get Jazzed & Joyful about who you are, every day in every way! I believe that no matter what you do in life, it is important to believe in yourself and your goals and to realize it's okay to enjoy the journey and have fun along the way!
Along my journey I have discovered my inner artist to help me create expressions of myself using collage, altered art, mixed media and scrapbook techniques. I have enlisted the aid of my inner cheerleader to keep me motivated to be the Best ME that I can be!
And I want to inspire others to realize that when you get Jazzed and Joyful about being You, then what you do will turn into success, prosperity and happiness!

Whose Business are you in?

Get Jazzed & Joyful Thought:
There are only 3 kinds of business you can be in - your business, someone else's business or the Universe's business. Many times we find ourselves caught up in someone else's business. Getting involved in what is going on, paying attention and focusing on our friends', family or co-workers business.
When this happens you do 2 things:
-you are ignoring your own business
-you are interfering with the Universal plans for someone else.
So today, be aware of whose business you are getting involved in. And Remember that when you get involved in someone else's business it's like you having your own store front and instead of taking care of your own business, your own customers, your own inventory, you leave your store and go into someone else's and get involved with their customers, the way they do business, paying attention to their inventory.
How do you know what is going on inside your own store? Who is taking care of your customers? Who is watching your inventory? AND how would not taking charge of your own business and staying put in someone else's store help YOUR prosperity, abundance and quality of life?
Doing this would not make good sound business sense or practice. If this routine kept up it would most likely cause your store to go OUT of business, your unhappy customers to go elsewhere, your inventory to become prey to opportunists AND you would get the reputation for being more concerned about running someone else's business than your own.
What kind of example would that be?
Affirm:
Today I keep my actions and my efforts focused on my own business!

Be Resolute in Achieving your Goals this year!

Get Jazzed & Joyful Thought:

The early New Year is full of resolutions. In the Webster dictionary resolution is defined as: firmness of purpose; statement of will or intent.
To be resolute is defined as: having a fixed purpose.

So as you make your resolutions this New Year give some careful thought. Develop a clear vision of what you want to create for yourself this year. Then make the commitment to yourself to be resolute in pursuing your goals. Create a powerful statement of intention and post it where you can see it regularly.

Affirm:
I am committed and resolute in pursuing and achieving my goals for 2011. I am worthy and deserving of complete resolution in this New Year.

Have a Resolute Tuesday!

Learning can be fun!

I went to a womens networking meeting yesterday and met some wonderful new business women. They also had an informational speaker Betsy Rackliffe who walked us through the basics of Facebook. I for one learned alot! And Betsy's approach was laid back, patient and fun. I have been overwhlemed trying to fumble my way through Facebook and although they have tutorials it was extremely helpful to have someone demonstrate some basics on a computer screen right in front of me. I am a very visual person so seeing it in person and being able to ask questions on the spot was great.

What was most enlightening was that Betsy is a interior designer by trade but was willing to share her experience and knowledge of daily manuvering through Facebook with the small group of women who were eager to soak up any knowledge and helpful hints we could get. This will benefit Facebook as all of us in turn will be able to utilize our pages to the maximum and invite more users to try out Facebook and see for themselves how easy it can actually be.

And what a great example Betsy set for the rest of us to follow. To connect with other women and share with joy and fun her knowledge simply to help others be the Best at what they do.

I have already started implementing my newfound knowledge and can't wait to share the results with my new friends!
