My mission today is to reconnect with my inner child and tap back into that feeling that anything was possible, that I had no limitations. I could achieve anything, BE anything.
Once I reconnect then I must ask myself this-
What would I do or become today if I was certain to succeed - if I knew I could not fail?
Now I will let nothing stop me, I'll just go for it!

A to Z, Free to Succeed!
Good Day!
Many times when we make our New Years Resolutions we do them on automatic pilot. Just stating the desired, wished for result and thinking hopeful thoughts like "I really hope I can do it this time, this year ...." We view the goal for the New Year as something that will be fraught with difficulty, struggle and false starts.
Do we stop to consider all the talents, skills and abilities that we already possess to assist us in achieving our resolutions? I think not. So today let's go through the alphabet and list A to Z what you are capable of doing to be Free! (And then you can use some or all of these as your daily affirmations to cheer yourself on in your goals)
I have an ACHIEVERS ATTITUDE!
I BELIEVE I can Succeed!
I am COURAGEOUS about CHANGE!
I DESERVE to make it this year!
I am ENTHUSIASTIC and ENERGETIC about my Goals!
I am FOCUSED and FAITHFUL to my Goals!

To a Healthier You
There are only 24 hours in a day. Each day I prioritize what I put into my 24 hours. I use part of the 24 hours for work, sleep, eating, driving, appointments, errands and meeting the needs of friends, family and co- workers.
What about me? Do I prioritize taking care of me? Or does time run out and I put myself on the back burner- saying to myself maybe I'll find time tomorrow or the next day?
Well there is no time like this present moment. Today I make a point to prioritize time for me - just for me. I put a high priority on fitting ME into my 24 hours. I prioritize eating healthy, taking time to sit down and enjoy my meal. I want to get some exercise but think there is just too much to do, so today I take the time for Me- to go for a walk, put on some music and jazzercise, take the stairs instead of the elevator and know that I am doing this because I AM important.
If I don't make ME a high priority each day then why should anyone else make ME a high priority? I will set the example and demonstrate that I am important enough to prioritize part of my 24 hours just for ME.
My Get Jazzed Thought:
I am worthy and deserving of making myself a daily High Priority.
Here's to Having a Prioritizing ME Thursday!

Just Be You!
Today don't try to be what someone else wants you to be. Don't act like what other people tell you you should be like. Don't try to live up to someone else's expectations.
Instead, Just Be You. Be the best you today that you can be - according to you. If you make any improvements or adjustments in you- make them because it's what You want to do.
You have to live in your skin, in your head, in your own heart. So decide to be comfortable in them.
So Your mission today is to be Yourself! Just be who you are. After all you are the best expert on you.

The Power of your Funny Bone
I was experimenting with swirls and polka dots and praticing drawing a self image again and decided what better thing to focus on than laughter. If it didn't work out well then I could just find the humor in it and try again! This reminded me of how powerful a health tool laughing is. When I am too serious about things that is when I notice that I get more negative and critical of myself and my world. What a great reminder to lighten up on the inside so I can 'lighten' my load on the outside. Life just isn't as serious or stressful when you're focusing on the funny side of things - searching for the humor. And isn't it interesting how when you are looking for the humorous things in life, that life and the people. places and things in your life provide all the laughter, fun and lightness you need? A great example of this is when my husband and I were in the movie theater and I leaned over and asked him if I could have some of his pop (I always have water) and he said sure and proceeded to hand over the cup when ... the top popped off and all the pop (large size of course!) went all over my lap, my coat, my arms, my husbands arm and legs and onto the floor! This was the moment when things could take a turn for the worse - or the better- depending on how I looked at it. So I said to him "Note to Self, next time I'll ask for a sip instead of some because apparently I just got exactly what I asked for!" And we both started laughing and cleaned up and finished watching the movie. Finding the humor in the situation allowed both of us to feel good, lighten up and to salvage a funny memory instead of a source of negativity.
So here's to the Power of the 'Funny Bone' - I intend to exercise this one regularly!

Cheer Yourself On!
I decided to draw a body silhouette and then put a photo head shot of me on top of it. The arms went off the page so I got the idea to draw pom poms on the ends of the arms. Then I decided to become my own cheerleader and Cheer myself on during the CED challenge as well as my goal of becoming more physically fit. I surrounded myself inside and out with my Affirmations from my Cheer Yourself On Portable Positive Thoughts bag. I will look at this every day to remind me of how important it is to stay positive inside and out!

Art Journal 2010 Creating a New ME
Here is the first page of my Art Journal. I did this using colored markers, calligraphy pens and fine point marker pens. I really love the way this turned out! It felt really good creating this. It seemed like a simple thing at first but the more details and the more color I added the more jazzed about it I got. All the hearts represent one of my 2010 goals which is to heal my heart more, nourish my heart with healthier foods and to open my heart more - letting out more love and letting more love in. The pink represents love and femininity, the green healing and prosperity, purple for spiritual connectedness and red for passion and stimulation of mental awareness.
With all that conscious Intention going into this page no wonder every time I look at it I FEEL more vibrant and Jazzed and Joyful about ME!

I decided to make a large journal for 2010. Tomorrow I will add Goal tabs to it: Body, Mind, Spirit, Inspiration and Prosperity. This is a New Year of New Beginnings for me. I signed up for and joined sparkpeople.com and created a health plan for myself using their meal plan suggestions, calorie count, exercise options, stress management, networking and fun for complete Whole Healthy Living. I receive several magazines related to the Body like : Body & Soul, Heart Healthy Living, Experience Life, Fitness, and Natural Health. I will take articles of motivation and inspiration, recipes, excercises and products, words and pictures and cut them out and paste them into my journal so that I can refer to them all year long without having to have the whole magazine.

2010 Art challenge
Well I am excited about 2010 and all the possibilities that exist! I signed up for the 2010 Create every day challenge and have been working on the theme for January which is Body. I knew I wanted to work on a collage of some sort and so for the past couple of days I have been clipping words and pictures from different magazines and arranging and re-arranging them. I am taking a break from what I think is the collage I like and I will take a picture with my new camera I got for Christmas and post it later today.
In the meantime I made myself a mini journal to carry in my purse at all times. I call it Notes to Self and on the cover I have put stickers of fruit to remind me each time I look at it to eat more fruit and vegetables, one of my 2010 goals for a healthy body. I also put 2 Affirmations on the inside covers; 'Have an Action Plan' and 'Just follow Through'. I was posting these pictures to my Blog and I imported 2 of the "Just follow Through' cover and could not figure out how to delete one of them.
